A real challenge to get the season started.
I would suggest it not great as a first sportive for those new to cycling , but for experienced riders it is a well known challenge with much (but not all)of the route on the quieter roads in Oxfordshire, West Berkshire and Wiltshire

Great event. Lovely route
I feel that the first stop on the 70 mile route at 45 miles is too long. Perhaps consider 25 miles and 55?
That would still suit the 90 milers as they had their first stop at 35. Their second stop would therefore be at 75 miles.

Brilliant event, very well organised
I'm looking forward to coming back in the future.
Liam day
Excellent sportive and extremely well marshalled
Paul Bate
Excellent sportive - beautiful scenery and well organised throughout. Thank you.
Steve Harrington
Well run, friendly and excellent vfm
Maria Powell
Good sportive, scenic, testing and well-signed!
Very much enjoyed the ride, thought it was especially well-sign-posted and marshals were in key locations. Only small issue for me was not being sure which was the correct GPX for the day - I ended up with 4, all saying different distance and elevation.
Michael Bailey
Great ride, lovely people, good cause
Hannah Chalmers
Very pretty ride, traffic not too busy, lovely volunteers helping
Gordon Simpson
Absolutely excellent!
What a great event, I enjoyed every minute, very friendly, super helpful staff and Marshalls, sufficiently challenging and a party atmosphere at the end back at HQ with live music, delicious food and drinks. Very many thanks to the WHC Team.
Sally Kelly
Lovely ride but could improve feed stations
Thanks for the opportunity to comment. I thought it was a shame that the feed stations offering was very limited. The food choice and quality was very poor with cheap food. Tea and coffee would have made a big difference too.
Harvey Reid
Great event, fantastic organization and facilities and a great atmosphere on the day
Maybe consider a shorter distance for beginners (30-40miles)
How do the organisers encourage more diversity intruders? Maybe seeking out diverse riding groups and offer an incentive to bring more riders from diverse backgrounds.
Introduce a social media page that includes instagram and tik tok, this could open the club/ organisers to a new audience.

Great day out for a Brilliant cause
Super friendly and welcoming team at the finish line. The Marshalls on course were all smiling and the feed stop at Foxfield was excellent

A grand but challenging day out!
I wanted to write and say thank you to all the volunteers. I didn't pick up what organisation you all come from, but all of you wore a smile and helped us riders. Special mention to the two that offered jelly babies just outside Marlborough - what a nice surprise. As the organiser of Wotton Lions Ride Over The Edge (27th September - see our website), I recognised both the effort you have put in but also a few things to replicate! And thank you for a great dated medal - these are rare indeed.
I use a Wahoo and I downloaded the file for this but was a bit surprised it was dated 2017. May be I did something wrong. Its route was wrong in a few places early on.
the 90 mile route wasn't beginner friendly but perhaps the 70 was.

DNF had a mechanical problem. Hopefully back next year to get to the finish.
